As the women of the Glenpool Church of Christ, we commit ourselves to be Christ like. We teach the truth, practice self-control, and are kind to all so that the power of God’s word may be clearly visible in what we say and do.

To help new women find their niche (Romans 12:4-8)
To help form meaningful relationships (Philippians 2:1-4)
To help women discover, develop, and use their God-given talents (1 Peter 4:8-11)
To minister to each other (1 John 3:16-18; Galatians 6:2)
To develop woman-to-woman understanding (Hebrews 10:24)
To provide opportunity for older women to mentor younger women (Titus 2:3-5)
To strengthen families (Deuteronomy 6:4-7)
To help women fight spiritual battles (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)
Children’s Bible Classes: The Coordinator(s) will make sure each bible class has a teacher for each quarter. Also the coordinator will help with class materials.
Church Fellowships: The congregation has been divided into 4 groups with an Elder and his wife as the leaders of each group. The monthly church fellowships have a group assigned for set up and clean up.
Clothes / Pantry Closet: The Coordinator(s) will organize and stock the closet with items for needy families. The coordinator(s) will be in charge of clothing/food drives.
Communion: The Coordinator(s) will assign someone to prepare the communion. This is usually done at the beginning of each year. The coordinator is the one to call, if you are unable to prepare the communion.
Community Care: The Coordinator(s) will inform the church when there is a need for food. They will make a sign up for food and maybe need to call members to help. Food could be provided because of a new baby, extended illness, hospitalization, or death in a family. Also a larger amount of food could be provided for funerals.
Decorations: The coordinator(s) will make sure the flower arrangements are in order and seasonal flowers are displayed.
Mark 10: The coordinator(s) will oversee the purchasing and distributing of food for children in need at the Glenpool and Kiefer schools.
Mid-Week Ladies Fellowship: The coordinator(s) will arrange and set times for a mid-week fellowship. The fellowship could be a weekly bible study or a weekly visitation group. The mid-week fellowship could also include a sewing group or a morning breakfast devo group. This could be a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly fellowship.
Monthly Newsletter: The Monthly newsletter needs to include news of upcoming events, celebrations, or needs. The newsletter needs to also include coordinators’ names and numbers. This could also feature an article and pictures of new members.
Newcomers Welcome: The coordinator(s) will have a ladies newcomers gathering once a year. It should be around the same time every year. It is a time to come together and fellowship. Have a dinner or a brunch with a devo. Decorate for the occasion. Have the newcomers be in the spotlight.
Secret Sisters: The coordinator(s) will pick a time of the year and have the ladies draw names. You will acknowledge your secret sister by giving cards, sending words of encouragement, or giving small inexpensive gifts. This should take place at least once a year for about a 3 month period.
Special Occasions: The coordinator(s) will plan and/or oversee special occasions such as “Graduating Seniors”, “Easter Egg Hunt”, “Truck or Treat”, or “Fall Festival”.
Wedding/Baby Showers: The coordinator(s) will inform the ladies of a need for a wedding or baby shower. They will get ladies that are willing and able to host the shower. If you see a need or want to host a wedding or baby shower, please let the coordinator know.
Women’s Day/Retreat: The coordinator(s) will have at least one gathering a year. They need to work with the newcomers’ coordinator so the events will not be around the same time of the year. The Women’s Day/Retreat should be a breakfast, dinner, or even a Friday night/Saturday event. The coordinator(s) will be responsible for organizing devotions, activities, food, decorating, and securing guest speakers. (The guest speakers need to be approved by the elders.)
Work Room: The coordinator(s) will help maintain the work room. They will assist you in locating materials. They will also request that you put items back in their place.
Worship Nursery Rotation: The coordinator(s) will put together a rotation for attending the nursery during worship. The nursery is for children ages 1 to 4.
Vacation Bible School: The coordinator(s) will oversee VBS!!! They will secure teachers, volunteers, materials, curriculum, food, etc…….
